Moore Deals and Offense Explodes in 7th to Secure Victory

The Legends cruised through the Alameda Anchors Tuesday night at the College of Alameda thanks to a four run 7th inning which capped an 8-1 win. The Anchors are coming off a strong season as the 2024 Bay Area Collegiate League Champions, leaving the Legends with a statement opportunity.
Jesse Moore, the Senior left-handed pitcher, was the workhorse on Tuesday night, dealing for four strong innings coming out of the Legends bullpen. Joseph Lee, Will Marlin, Caleb Henderson, and Zak Vasquez all made strong appearances after him, shutting the Anchor offense down and stranding runners all night. Despite a threatening start by loading the bases in the 1st inning, the Anchor offense came up with just 4 hits producing just one run the entire night.
The offense attacked early with some key performances from Will Robbins who knocked in two runs. Isaiah Landry and Gavin Shaddix were also key contributors to the early scoring, giving the Legends an early lead they would not surrender. The Legend offense ran away with the game after capitalizing off some timely fielding errors plating four runs in the 7th. With their lockdown bullpen, it was a stressless final nine outs for Menlo Park as they sealed the 8-1 victory on the road.
The Legends look to capitalize on the victory with a great home doubleheader at College of San Mateo, before taking the trip down to San Luis Obispo for a great three-game series against the Blues in California Collegiate League action.
