Legends Back in the Bay: 2025 Season Preview

As the college baseball season is coming to a close, Legends Baseball is back in the Bay Area. The Legends’ home opener at College of San Mateo is less than a week away, and it is looking like another exciting summer season in Menlo Park.
Coach Nick Sanzeri joins the Legends in his first year at the helm and looks to bring a California Collegiate League Championship to Menlo in 2025. Coach Sanzeri brings a wealth of knowledge to the club, with more than 13 years of coaching experience, including time as a Division I pitching coach at the University of the Pacific in 2023.
He currently serves as the head pitching coach at Ohlone College, helping develop some of the best junior college pitchers in the Bay Area. He looks forward to bringing success to Menlo this summer, with a development-centered focus for the players. Coach Sanzeri has built a very talented roster full of players from all over the country, as the Legends look to compete against opponents with rosters full of stars in the CCL.
The Legends open up the season with some great non-league action this weekend in Fresno before CCL games play early next week. The Legends have a doubleheader at San Joaquin Memorial High School on Friday, followed by a Saturday afternoon exhibition at Chukchansi Park, home of the Fresno Grizzlies.
Legends fans can expect great things this summer, and we are excited to see all of you at the ballpark! Join us for the Home Opener on June 4th at College of San Mateo, as the Legends host the Alameda Anchors at 5 pm.
