Arizona Diamondbacks:

After being cut from Cal Poly in 2011, Don was fantastic for the Legends, posting a 1.64 ERA, 0.84 WHIP, and 49 K’s in 44 innings. His work with the Legends coaching staff paid off, as he signed with Cal State Monterey Bay in the fall of 2011 and had a quality year, prompting the Diamondbacks to sign him to a free agent contract in 2012. He excelled in 2012 for the rookie league AZL DBacks, throwing 23.2 innings and striking out 29 with an ERA of 0.38.
